Archgate to welcome Devotees: Nativity of Mother Mary
In preparation for the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Commission for Proclamation and Evangelization, together with the Legion of Mary, put up an arch gate in front of Mother Mary's grotto. The inscription on the gate, written in Kannada, reads "Mattey Mariama Nammannu Arasirri," which translates to "Mother Mary, Bless Us." The choice to write in Kannada was made to welcome and honour our brothers and sisters from other faiths, many of whom visit the grotto and pay their respects to Mother Mary.
Similarly, a banner has been installed at the entrance of the church to extend greetings for the feast of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the celebration of the new harvest. This banner also conveys our heartfelt wishes to all our fellow brothers and sisters in Derebail, offering them blessings of good health, happiness, and peace from our Mother.
