Catechism Day Celebration: Children Stage an Amazing Programme

The Annual Catechism Day of Most Holy Redeemer Church was celebrated on 25 February, 2024. The celebration began with a Thanksgiving mass with Rev.Fr Kevin D'Souza as the main celebrant . An enthusiastic participation by the children and the teachers made the Eucharistic celebration a solemn one. The liturgy was led by the children of the parish.
With a lots of excitement  catechism children and their parents gathered in the Jubilee hall at 4:30pm  for the Cultural Programme. Rev. Dr Roshan D'Souza, Chancellor of Udupi Diocese was the Chief Guest. Hugh Kenny Correa of class 10th extended warm welcome to everyone gathered. Children of each class gave their performance. Biblical skits, Moral skit, action song,and dances were some of the programmes.  Children,teachers and parents shared their experiences about Sunday Catechism.
In his address Rev. Dr Roshan D'Souza asked children  to be the light of the World and spread the light of the Lord wherever they go.
Children who attended Catechism regularly were awarded with prizes. Prizes were also given to children who excelled in the Catechism exams.  Catechism teachers were also felicitated for their selfless service on Sundays for teaching students.
Adline of class 9 extended the Vote of thanks.
At the end icecream was distributed to the children  and parents who were present .
