Derebail Parish All Set for Mission Sunday

World Mission Sunday, organized by the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, is a day set aside for Catholics worldwide to recommit themselves to the Church’s missionary activity through prayer and sacrifice. As described by Pope John Paul II, World Mission Sunday is “an important day in the life of the Church because it teaches how to give: as an offering made to God, in the Eucharistic celebration and for all the missions of the world”.

Reflecting on the theme that Pope Francis highlighted for World Mission Sunday 2023, "Hearts on fire, feet on the move", the parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church have in unison set forth on making the Mission Sunday a grand success. Members of Wards and Associations have taken up the responsibility of preparing various delicacies that will be sold on Mission Sunday. The preparation for the same commenced on Friday 20 October, 2023, where parishioners of all age groups are doing their bit. While some are involved in cooking, there are others who are busy setting up stalls and cleaning the church premises for Mission Sunday.

Following pictures give  a glimpse of all the work that is being done off stage for Mission Sunday.
