Health Commission Organized an Awareness Talk

The Commission for Health, Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail organised an awareness talk on Health Cards and enrollment of AABHA card in the Church Meeting hall on 23 July, 2023.  The programme began with the invocation of God's blessings by hymn lead by Mrs. Mary Vas and members of the health commission. The Parish Priest Rev. Fr.Joseph Martis, the Guest Speaker Mr.Jagannath, PPP Vice President Mrs.Sheela D'Souza, Secretary Mr.Denzil Pinto, Coordinator of 21 Commissions Mr Edward Coelho and Convenor of Health commission Dr Alfreeda Pinto were on the dias. Rev. Fr.Joseph Martis welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Mary Vas introduced the resource person Mr.Jagannath Shirlal. Mr. Jagannath, at present holds the post of Arogyamithra Ayushman Bharath-Arogya karnataka Scheme,Health and family welfare Department.

The speaker briefed the gathering about various government schemes related to healthcare stressing upon the Ayushman Bharath AABHA card. He also stressed the need for health cards and health insurance  . He also answered the queries put forth by the attendees. The Assistant parish priest Fr.Kevin attended the session.
Mrs.Enita Rodrigues, the Secretary of Health Commission then gave the vote a thanks. Dr.Alfreeda Lavina Pinto, convenor of Health Commission compered the whole programme. Around 250 people attended the talk and around 120 people enrolled for the health card. Refreshments were served to the participants.
