Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail observes Confraternity Sunday
As a preparation for its Annual Parish Feast, the parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail observed Confraternity Sunday on 31st October, 2021. The Holy Mass commenced at 4.30PM. The main celebrant Rev.Fr.Clifford Fernandes, Parish Priest of Cordel along with Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Austin Peter Peres and Resident Priest Fr.Gerald Francis Pinto, concelebrated the mass.
In his homily Fr.Clifford reflected on the significance of the Holy Eucharist and explained the true meaning of each step within the Holy Mass. He called upon each and everyone to live an exemplary life by imbibing values like humility, leadership and generosity.
After mass, the parishioners took part in a short yet symbolic candle light procession. The hymns sung by the Church Choir during the procession sent across message of solidarity and peace through Christ.
The Confraternity Sunday came to a beautiful end with the adoration and veneration of the Blessed Sacrament led by Fr.Clifford.
The brass band added to the festive atmosphere within the church premise.
