Most Holy Redeemer Church welcomes newly appointed Assistant Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Kevin D'Souza
The newly appointed Assistant Parish Priest for Most Holy Redeemer Church Rev.Fr.Kevin D'Souza was given a warm welcome by Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis, Rev.Fr.Gerald Pinto, Mrs Sheela D'Souza, Mr.Denzil Pinto and parishioners on 16 May ,2023 . Rev.Fr.Kevin D'Souza former Assistant Parish Priest at Mai De Deus Church, Puttur was accompanied by Rev.Fr.Lawrence Mascarenhas Parish Priest (Puttur), Rev.Fr. Prakash Monteiro, Principal St Philomena's Degree College Puttur, Rev.Fr.Stany Pinto Campus Director, Rev.Fr.Ashok Rayan Crasta Principal of PU College, his parents and the parishioners of Puttur Parish to Derebail Church.
Rev.Fr.Kevin then entered the church along with all those who were present while the choir members sang a hymn. A small prayer followed where Fr.Kevin read the Word of God and Fr.Gerald recited a prayer.
The dignitaries Fr.Joseph Martis, Fr.Gerald Pinto, Fr.Lawrence, Fr.Kevin and Mrs Sheela were welcomed to the dias. The Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis welcomed the gathering. Rev.Fr.Lawrence shared his experiences with Fr.Kevin and spoke a few words about how he served his parish in Puttur.
Fr.Kevin expressed his gratitude to the senior priests who had accompanied him on his journey and thanked his parents too. He also fondly recollected his memories with Fr.Joseph who was his professor and Rector. He thanked Fr Gerald and the parishioners of Puttur and Derebail .
The ceremony concluded with a hymn and refreshments were served.
