Nativity Feast - Fun Games, 3 PM Back
Continuing the tradition of the Nativity feast, the Derebail Church Sports Club which has been a backbone of the parish when it comes to sports and physical activities organized fun games for the parishioners in the evening of 8th September on the parish grounds.
At 3 PM, all the young and not so young gathered together and were ready to spend some energy and have fun from the games that were organized for them. Games such as bombing the City, Dog and the Bone, Passing the cup on the straw for tiny tots and children from standard 2nd to 8th made the elders gathered wish they were back to their childhood again. Aiming the wicket for High school children and the most awaited traditional games such as Seven Tiles (Lagori), Kabadi, and breaking the Pot ensured there was endless fun for all participants and spectators as well.
At the end of the day if was an evening worth spent on the church grounds and all were seen thanking the Sports Club members for continuing the tradition over the years. Mr. Sandesh Mascarenhas, on behalf of the Sports club members assured the gathering that they would have plenty of opportunities to burn the calories since they would be celebrating their 25th anniversary year shortly. All the Parishioners are eagerly looking forward for the calorie burning activities that will be organized by the Sports Club members.
