Palm Sunday - 13 Apr 2014 Back

Palm Sunday was celebrated with great religious fervor marking the beginning of the Holy Week by Fr. Peter D Souza. Over a thousand parishioners gathered on the parish grounds at 7 AM, today on 13^th April 2014.  After the introduction and blessing of the Palms, the gathering proceeded to the church in a grand procession for the Eucharistic celebration. 

In his homily Fr. Edwin Monis said that the meaning of the Passion of Christ and of the Cross cannot be understood by listening with our ears or even thinking with our minds but we need to feel it in our hearts, only then we will have true transformation in our lives.  The works of the Glorious and Victorious Cross is being experienced in our parish throughout this year during the Journey of the Cross to every household and we are receiving many testimonies.

The enthusiasm of the parishioners could be seen in action after the mass too when Fr Peter requested all to help to arrange the chairs from the church premises to the grounds for which parishioners joined in large numbers.
