"Sakkad Sangatha Melyan, Sakkad Lagin Sarya": The Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail All Set for the Feast of Nativity

The Nativity of Mother Mary is an important feast that members of the Catholic community celebrate. As preparation for this feast, a nine-day novena is conducted, where children bring flowers to strew in honour of Mother Mary. This year the little parishioners of Most Holy Redeemer Church along with their parents participated in the nine-day novena with great reverence towards Mother Mary. The joy of the little children filled the church premise during the nine-day novena that commenced on the 30th of August. Parishioners thronged in great numbers to participate in the Holy Eucharist at 5.30 PM followed by the novena and strewing of flowers. The happiness of the little children doubled as they were given refreshments every day after mass. 

In addition to the Holy Eucharistic Celebration and Novena that was conducted in the last nine days, parishioners were also given an opportunity to prepare themselves spiritually for the feast through Confession. Confessions were held on 5th September from 4.30 to 5.30PM

The Parish is all set to celebrate the Feast of Nativity of  Mother Mary on 8 September, 2023.
