Youth Retreat Back

Youth Retreat was organized by Yuva Spandan Derebail in association with Jesus Youth, Mangalore on the 2^nd of February 2014 from 10.15 AM to 5.00 PM as a part of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations.

Yuva Spandan, Derebail did a commendable job by visiting the youth of the Parish in the Ward and all the neighboring hostels to invite them to the Retreat. More than 300 youth attended the Retreat of which 140 youth were from the Parish.

Fr. Acquin and Bro. Naveen Lobo preached during the Retreat. They spoke on topics such as ‘How to Design your life according to God’s Plan’. The Praise and Worship was led by Manu from the Jesus Youth. All the youth enthusiastically participated in the Retreat. The hymn “Yeshuve Karuna Mayane” sung by Manu left a spiritual impact on all the youth. Though immensely talented, his simplicity made a lasting impression on all the participants.

The Retreat benefitted all those who attended and one of the youth had this to share “I did not plan to attend the Retreat but had to attend it as I was forced. I’m lucky not to have missed it. I definitely look forward to attend it next time and I bring more of my friends with me’.

The Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Peter D’souza, Assistant Parish Priest Fr. Edwin Monis, Mrs. Carmelita D’souza and Mrs. Lizzie Fernandes provided all the support and guidance for the success of the Retreat
