Delightful Day Out at Caribean Resort: Kapikad Ward Members Picnic

The families of Kapikad Ward, Derebail Church, enjoyed a delightful day out at Caribean Resort, Chitrapu, Karnad, Mulki on 14 April,.2026 from 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM. A special bus was arranged for all participants.

The event began with a prayer and hymn, setting a peaceful and joyful tone for the day. After a hearty breakfast, members took part in a series of fun-filled activities. A variety of games organised by ward members kept everyone energised and engaged throughout.  The resort’s location by the river, combined with a refreshing breeze, added to the comfort and enjoyment of the outing.

The day was filled with games, singing, dancing, music, interaction, and walks around the premises, giving every member an opportunity to participate. Exploring the riverbed and catching shellfish together was an especially exciting and memorable experience for all.  Special highlights included river play and the rain dance, which delighted the members, while Housie and other games kept everyone entertained and involved. Photo sessions captured joyful moments, and members also found their own spaces to relax and connect with one another.

Delicious food was served, snacks and soft drinks along with refreshing panaka kept participants energised throughout the day. Evening tea provided the perfect boost to conclude the activities. 

All prizes for the games, Housie, panaka, snacks, soft drinks, and a complimentary prize for each family were generously sponsored by ward members.

Singing together on the bus during the onward journey and the ride back added the finishing touch to a day that left everyone feeling young, energetic, and full of cheer. At the end, members expressed their gratitude to the organisers and thanked the Almighty through hymns and praises.
