Parapade Hills ward -  Children's SCC Prayer Meeting 

The SCC prayer meeting for the Parapade Hills ward took place at the home of Mr. Donald and Mrs. Jyoti Fernandes on May 17, 2026, at 4:30 PM.

The meeting was led by the children of the ward, commencing with the opening hymn.
A total of 36 ward members were present, including 10 children.

Mr. Donald Fernandes warmly welcomed the Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, along with the ward members. Master Joshua Pereira guided the members in prayer.

The scripture reading was taken from the Gospel of John 14:15-21, read by Ms. Rishel DMello and Master Samson Pereira. The seven steps of the meeting were facilitated by Ms. Delrin Fernandes.

The children selected the phrase "Spirit Of Truth" as their guiding message for the upcoming days. Following this, the children offered personal prayers, and the seven steps concluded with the recitation of 'Our Father'.

Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris encouraged more children to take the initiative to lead the ward meetings twice or thrice a year to foster a closer relationship with Jesus.

The secretary, Mrs. Lizzie Pinto, provided a report on the previous meeting.
A picture of the ward members and a group shot of the kids were taken.
Mrs. Pramila Furtado organized several games, and prizes were awarded, with each child receiving a rose.

Children who achieved over 80% in their 10th and 12th grades were congratulated with a rose.

Nurses Day was commemorated, honoring all nurses from the ward for their dedicated service, and they were presented with flowers.

Refreshments were graciously provided to all attendees by the host family.
