Secular Franciscan Order of Derebail Parish Celebrates the Feast of its Patron, St Francis of Assisi 

The members of the Secular Franciscan Order of Derebail Parish celebrated the feast of their founder, St. Francis of Assisi on Saturday, 11th October 2025. The celebration began with aThanksgiving Mass at 5PM, with Rev.Fr.Prakash Lobo as the main celebrant.

The Eucharistic celebration was followed by a get-together at the Church Basement Hall. The event was graced by the Spiritual Director and Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Rev. Fr. Prakash Lobo, Associate Parish Priest Rev.Fr.Steevan Nelson Peris, Vice President of PPC Mrs.Sheela D'souza and the Coordinator of 21 Commissions Mr. Anil Patrao graced the occassion.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by Mrs. Felcy Pasannha, followed by a welcome address by Mrs. Mary Vas. Ms. Sabitha Fernandes presented the annual report to the members present.

Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis and Rev.Fr.Prakash Lobo addressed the gathering and extended their wishes to all the members of the Secular Franciscan Order. Mrs.Felcy Crasta proposed the Vote of Thanks. Rev.Fr.Steevan Nelson Peris led the Concluding prayers and blessed everyone. Mrs.Shobha Mendonca compered.The evening concluded with refreshments.
