Christmas 2022: Derebail Parishioners Welcome Jesus With Devotion and Warmth

"God became man and dwelt amongst us."
Christmas celebrations at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail commenced with Carol singing at 7:00 PM led by Church Choir. This was followed by the blessing of the Church Crib. The solemn mass began at 7:30 PM with Rev. Fr Maxim Rosario Estate Manager, Diocese of Mangalore as the main celebrant. Rev.Fr.Joseph Martis Parish priest and Rev. Fr Gerald Pinto were the concelebrants.
In the homily, Rev. Fr Maxim Rosario stated the importance of sacrifice and giving without expectations with a happy heart. He further said God sacrificed His only son for mankind, therefore as a true Christian, one needs to give one's life to the call and mission. As Catholics, he highlighted, one must live a life by giving one's best to one's family, rendering relentless service to the Parish, being generous towards the needy and downtrodden, and encouraging them with good words.

Various donors and sponsors were honoured with the Candle towards the end of the celebration. The entire celebration was led by the melodious voices of the Choir group. This Christmas was truly a happy one spreading joy and good vibes among all the parishioners.
