Feliz Navidad! Christmas celebrations at Derebail Parish 2023

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." - Matthew 1:23

The Christmas celebrations at Most Holy Redeemer Church Derebail began at 6: 30 PM with Carol singing, led by the Church Choir. This was followed by the ceremonial blessing of the Church Crib. At 7:00 PM, the solemn mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Kevin Lawrence D’Souza, the Assistant Parish Priest along with the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis. In his Homily, Fr. Joseph emphasized on being humble to yourself and to the society.

Towards the conclusion of the celebrations, candles were given to all the contributors and sponsors. Mr. Mark Sherra was felicitated on this occasion. Also, a number of Platinum, Silver and Gold sponsors were also felicitated.

The Choir group's beautiful voices served as the celebration's leader throughout. On this Christmas Eve, all the parishioners received cake and juice.

Following the mass, YCLC, YSD ICYM, YCS, and other members performed a dance and a skit that portrayed the joy of Christmas. Housie Housie game was then hosted by Mr. Victor Correa.

This Christmas was genuinely joyful, bringing cheer and positive energy to every parishioner.
