Mission Sunday 2017 Back

World Mission Sunday is a day set aside for catholics world wide to re-commit to the church's missionary activity. The theme for the World Mission Sunday 2017 is "Mission is at the heart of Christian faith". In his message for World Mission Sunday, Pope Francis writes - "The Church's Mission impels us to undertake a constant pilgrimage across the various deserts of life, through the different experiences of hunger and thirst for truth and justice".

Most Holy Redeemer Church celebrated this day on the 21st and 22nd of October 2017. Through the efforts of various people beginning from selling of tickets by the Altar boys. Every parishioner willfully contributed towards the mission. The parishioners graciously presented items for the auction. Besides this there were delicious food (eatable) stalls placed by the CLC members, YCS youth and YSD-ICYM members. Legion of Mary organised games which saw the whole hearted participation of parishioners.

Through the work of lay people,religious sisters, priests, the World Mission Sunday collection helps support through the society for the propagation of faith.
