Kapikad Ward celebrates Pavsa Gammath Back

Celebration of Pavsa Gammath at Kapikad Ward

On Sunday, July 20th, 2025 the  members of Kapikad ward gathered  for a ward meeting and  Pavmsa Gammath celebration at the  residence of Mr. Clarance and Mrs. Saira Lobo. The event was attended by 55 members including Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis, Assistant Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris, Brother Avin  Augustine,  Superior of Maria Bhavan Convent Mother  Juliana Tellis, Sr. Sunitha, Parish Pastoral Parishad Secretary Mr. Denzil Pinto, Coordinator of 21 Commissions  Mr.Anil Patrao and Parish Small Christian Community Convenor Mr. Oswald Monis.

Mrs.Saira Lobo welcomed the august gathering.
Mr. Edward Coelho conducted the meeting as Prerak. Mr. Sylvester DCunha read the minutes of the previous meeting. The Gurkar felicitated the members  celebrating  their birthdays in July 2025.  Anthakshari  session was conducted by  the guest,  Mr.Anil Patrao.  

The Ward Gurkar Mrs. Juliana Coelho gave an introductory speech and  floral welcome to the guests. Mrs.Patricia Mendonca  presented the  list of  26 delicious  dishes  prepared by the members.  Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis delivered an inspiring message praising ward families and the  leaders for organising the wonderful event. 

The evening concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Francis Saldanha.
Rev.Fr. Steevan Nelson Peris concluded the meeting with prayers, invoking blessings on the food and the attending families.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Martis  inaugurated the delicacies. The food was enjoyed by all making the celebration a grand success.
