Konchady Ward Celebrate Christmas 2022

The members of Konchady Ward got together for a short prayer and meeting on the 10th of December 2022, at 7 PM at the residence of Mr Oswald Monteiro. The members then began to sing Carols. The ward members visited the houses of individuals from other religious beliefs and sang Carols. Later all the members gathered at Mr Ajith Albuquerque's house for the Christmas Programme.

Rev. Fr Joseph Martis - Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Gerald Pinto, Mrs Benny Dcunha - Gurkar of Konchady ward 1, Mr Stanislaws Crasta and Mrs Juliana Carlo - Konchady Ward 1 ward representatives were present for the programme. Mrs Sheela Dsouza welcomed the guest by giving them a rose.

The programme began with Carol Singing. The children of the ward put up a small tableau representing a crib. Later the guests were called forward to the dais. Mrs Benny Dcunha, Mr Stanislaws Crasta and Mrs Juliana Carlo were felicitated for their service when the Konchady ward and Konchady ward 1 were a single ward.

Rev. Fr Joseph Martis addressed the gathering and gave a short message on Christmas. Megan Menezes entertained the crowd with her dance on Christmas. A Housie housie game was conducted for all by Mr Gladson Monteiro and prizes were distributed to the winners. Rev. Fr Gerald Pinto said the grace before meals.

Rishon Mascarenhas entertained all the audience as Santa Claus throughout the programme. Mrs Jonita Monteiro compered the entire Programme. Mr Ajith Albuquerque, the ward representative proposed the vote of thanks. There were altogether 40 members. The programme concluded with the dinner.
